Festivals AU
The Festivals Project is a network being built to provide information on festivals and events.

2026 Writers Week, Adelaide
Adelaide Writers’ Week is Australia’s largest free literary festival, offering both writers and readers a unique opportunity to spend time sharing ideas and literary explorations in a garden setting in Adelaide’s city centre. Each program brings the world's most celebrated established and emerging writers together for a week in conversation about literature, politics, poetry, current events, biography, the short story and much more.
Each Adelaide Writers’ Week includes six days of free panel sessions that are presented live in the gardens, and made available online via podcast. The program also features a series of ticketed special events throughout the year, and the popular free Young Readers' Day.

2026 Fringe Festival, Adelaide
The Adelaide Festival in 2026 will take place from February 27 to March 15. This includes a range of events across theatre, music, opera, dance, media and arts.

2025 Dark Mofo, Tasmania
Free Events
Lots of events in the art program are free, with some ticketed exceptions. The Nude Solstice Swim is free (but you do still need to register for a ticket). Most free events don't require tickets, so you may need to queue for these.
